A growing and entrepreneurial insurance business is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join its London finance team.
Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a broad and commercially focused role with responsibility for financial control, reporting, regulatory compliance, and supporting the continued growth of the business.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership across finance, underwriting, operations, and actuarial teams while helping to build scalable processes and strengthen financial governance within a fast-paced insurance environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead month-end and year-end financial reporting processes
- Oversee financial controls, reconciliations, and audit management
- Support regulatory and statutory reporting requirements
- Manage insurance finance operations including premium and claims accounting
- Deliver budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Drive process improvement and finance transformation initiatives
- Partner with senior stakeholders to support business growth
Requirements
- Big 4 qualified accountant
- Strong Financial Controller or senior finance experience
- Insurance, MGA, broker background considered or straight from Insurance audit.
- Strong technical accounting and regulatory knowledge
- Commercially minded with strong communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and growing business
