Fire Alarm Engineer- Covering South Midlands/South Central- £40,000+ Overtime, On Call, Commission & Travel Pay

- £40,000 basic salary Full-Time, Permanent

Fire Alarm Engineer Overview
We're recruiting for an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer to join a well-established Fire & Security company as part of its growing Fire Division.
This is a remote field-based role ideally suited to engineers based around Luton, Milton Keynes, St Albans, Bedford, Aylesbury, Bishop's Stortford or Bicester, although candidates from the wider South Midlands area will also be considered.
You'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, fault-finding and carrying out remedial works on Fire Alarm and Emergency Lighting systems across a varied commercial customer base.
Fire Alarm Engineer Role & Responsibilities
- Service, maintain and fault-find Fire Alarm systems.
- Carry out small works, remedial works and repairs.
- Service and maintain Emergency Lighting systems.
- Complete accurate service reports and job documentation.
- Deliver excellent customer service whilst working independently across your region.
- Cover customer sites throughout Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, London and occasionally further south when required.
- Participate in a paid on-call rota (1 in 6 weekdays and 1 in 6 weekends, shared across a team of six engineers).
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with current industry standards.
Fire Alarm Engineer Skills & Experience
- Previous experience servicing and maintaining Fire Alarm systems.
- Experience with Emergency Lighting is desirable.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Experience carrying out remedial works and small installations.
- Good understanding of current fire safety standards and best practices.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Able to work independently and manage your own workload.
