This is a hands-on, skilled role focused on preparing premium-quality fresh fish and seafood for retail customers. Fish Filleter – Responsibilities & Requirements
- Proven experience as a Fish Filleter or Fishmonger
- Buying experience desirable but not essential
- Filleting, skinning, pin-boning and portioning a wide range of fresh fish
- Fast, accurate knife skills with an eye for quality and presentation
- Scaling and preparing whole fish for display and sale
- Peeling and deveining prawns and langoustines
- A solid understanding of food hygiene requirements, food hygiene certificate desirable however training can be provided
- Must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, chilled environment
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic are a must
