Flood Risk Consultant Location: Birmingham Salary: £33,000 – £54,000

The Opportunity Join our Water Management Consultancy team and take ownership of diverse projects across sectors like energy, water, and transportation. With flexible and remote working options, you can balance your professional and personal life while contributing to meaningful projects.
Key Responsibilities – Conduct data analysis, hydraulic modelling, and hydrology using TUFLOW, Flood Modeller, ESTRY, and InfoWorks ICM. – Perform GIS tasks and technical reporting. – Ensure quality assurance by reviewing junior staff work. – Develop and test flood mitigation concepts. – Collaborate with environmental scientists, engineers, and planners. – Support business development activities, including tendering and client engagement.
Candidate Requirements – Degree in Geography, Science, or Civil Engineering. – Proficiency in 1D-2D hydraulic modelling and GIS. – Experience in flood risk analysis and hydrological assessments. – Strong interpersonal and communication skills. – Organised and capable of managing multiple projects. – Attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
