Food Technology Technician (Secondary School) Cambridgeshire Start Date: September 2026 Salary: GBPTBC (dependent on experience) Contract: Full or Part Time will be considered

About the Role We are seeking a reliable, organised, and enthusiastic Food Technology Technician to support our busy and successful Design & Technology department at a welcoming secondary school in Cambridgeshire. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting high-quality teaching and learning by ensuring practical food lessons run smoothly, safely, and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities · Prepare ingredients, equipment, and materials for food lessons · Assist teaching staff during practical sessions where required · Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety · Order, receive, and manage stock and resources within budget · Ensure all kitchen equipment is maintained and stored correctly · Support health and safety compliance, including risk assessments · Clear away and clean practical areas after lessons

What Were Looking For · Experience working in a food preparation, catering, or school environment (desirable) · Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards · Strong organisational skills and attention to detail · Ability to work independently and as part of a team · A proactive, flexible, and positive approach · A relevant food safety qualification (Level 2 or above) is desirable
