Forest Ranger (fixed-term)

Care for the forest that cares for our guests
As a Forest Ranger, you'll help keep our woodland safe, healthy and full of life – from maintaining footpaths to protecting wildlife habitats and waterways.
What you'll be doing
- Maintaining forest and landscaped areas
- Operating specialist tools and machinery
- Supporting conservation and seasonal forestry work
- Work outdoors in all seasons and all weathers

Your working hours
Please note this is a fixed-term contract until 19th February 2027
- Full-time contract, fully flexible
- You will be contracted to work a guaranteed minimum of 150 hours over a 4-week period. You may be asked to work additional hours in line with operational requirements
- This role includes early mornings, weekends and bank holidays
- Premium rate of pay for hours worked on a Sunday
- You may also be required to participate in the department's call-out rota as required
About you
- FETAC level 2/3 in horticulture / forestry (or equivalent experience)
- Comfortable outdoors in all weathers
- Knowledge of tools and safety procedures
- Full driving licence (held for a minimum of 6 months)
