Role: Forklift Operator (Day Shift)
Location: Hailsham, East Sussex
Hours: Monday to Thursday – 6.00am – 3.45pm / Friday 6.00am – 2.45pm
Pay: £32,949 per annum
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Day Shift Forklift Operator to join one of our longstanding clients, a well-established manufacturing business based in Hailsham.
This is a hands-on role supporting warehouse and production operations, ensuring materials, tooling, and inks are prepared and supplied efficiently to maintain smooth production flow. The role involves regular manual handling and requires a strong commitment to health and safety.

The Requirements:
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (essential)
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Basic IT skills for stock control and record keeping
- Willingness to carry out manual handling duties
The Role:
- Loading and unloading vehicles in line with company documentation
- Receiving goods into relevant departments
- Scanning stock using RF systems
- Maintaining accurate stock control using internal systems
- Supplying production teams with materials to ensure continuous workflow
- Managing waste disposal and recycling activities
- Coordinating tooling setup for production jobs
- Tracking tooling usage and reporting wear or damage
- Mixing and managing inks to meet job-specific requirements
- Maintaining ink storage, labelling, and safe handling standards
- Supporting the maintenance of the in-house water treatment system
