An established life sciences organisation is seeking an experienced formulation scientist to join its Formulation Development team in a managerial role. This is a hands-on laboratory position combining scientific leadership with responsibility for project delivery, client engagement, and team development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver formulation development projects to high scientific and quality standards
- Design and oversee complex formulation and analytical studies
- Interpret data and prepare client deliverables (reports, presentations, study plans)
- Act as a scientific lead in client interactions
- Supervise, mentor, and develop team members
- Review data, documentation, and laboratory work
- Contribute to new technologies, methodologies, and business development activities
Requirements
- PhD (or equivalent experience) in a relevant scientific discipline (5+ years)
- Significant industry experience in protein formulation and/or analytical characterisation
- Proven project leadership in a client-facing environment
- Experience mentoring or managing scientists
- Strong knowledge of relevant analytical techniques (e.g.SE-HPLC, IEX, CE-SDS, and icIEF.)
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
