Liverpool | Hybrid Working (4 days office / 1 day home)
We're looking for a couple of Freight Forwarders to work in a fast paced, long standing trading business. This is a varied, fast-paced role where you'll play a key part in coordinating deliveries, solving operational challenges, and ensuring goods move efficiently across the UK.
The Role
You'll be responsible for coordinating the movement of goods from planning through to delivery, ensuring operations run smoothly and customers receive an excellent service.
Your responsibilities will include:

Coordinating collections and deliveries across the UK

Managing shipments from start to finish, ensuring deliveries are completed on time and in full

Monitoring transport activity and resolving any operational issues that arise

Building strong relationships with suppliers, transport providers, customers and internal teams

Scheduling deliveries while balancing changing priorities

Maintaining accurate records using internal business systems

Communicating effectively with stakeholders to keep operations running efficiently

Supporting continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve processes and ways of working
As your experience grows, you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of key accounts, projects and operational areas, giving you exposure to both the operational and commercial side of the business.

Essential

Experience within a freight forwarding role with some knowledge on customs

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

A proactive, solutions-focused approach

Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
Desirable

Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar ERP systems

Experience working in a commercial or fast-paced environment
