A well-established, family-owned freight forwarding company based in Eastleigh, Southampton, is looking for a dynamic and quick-thinking individual to join their friendly team.

The Role
You will be responsible for managing freight forwarding operations with a strong focus on customs clearance, ensuring shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and in full compliance with customs regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete import customs entries accurately and efficiently.
- Handle customs clearance documentation and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Coordinate import and export shipments.
- Liaise with customers, hauliers, shipping lines, and customs authorities.
- Manage FCL and LCL shipments where applicable.
- Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and within required timescales.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Extensive customs clearance experience within a freight forwarding environment.
- Proven experience completing import customs entries.
- Experience using customs software (ASM experience is preferred, although experience with other customs systems is welcome).
- Good working knowledge of CNS Destin8.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Desirable
- Sea import freight forwarding experience.
- Export customs clearance experience.
- Knowledge of T1 Transit procedures.
- Experience handling both FCL and LCL shipments.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary of £29,000–£35,000, depending on experience.
- Monday to Friday working hours – 9:00am to 5:30pm.
