Fuel Operator
Location: Killingholme
Salary: Up to £37,640.56 + Shift Allowance (once on shift)
Outsource UK are recruiting an Operator for a permanent opportunity in Killingholme. This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading organisation operating within the fuel storage and distribution sector. As an Operator, you will play a key role in supporting the safe, efficient, and reliable receipt, storage, handling, and delivery of aviation fuel within a 24/7 operational environment.
Working as part of the Pipeline Site and Operations team, you will help ensure terminal operations are carried out safely, effectively, and in full compliance with industry regulations, company procedures, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support safe and efficient terminal operations
- Work closely with terminal personnel to ensure effective communication and smooth shift handovers.
- Contribute to the review and improvement of operational procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all operational and safety procedures.
- Promote and actively contribute to a positive safety culture across the terminal.
- Participate in SHE audits, including contractor and driver audits.
- Issue and control permits, carry out gas testing, and verify isolations where required.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive operational records.
- Complete product sampling activities and quality analysis checks.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Support terminal housekeeping activities to maintain high site standards.
- Work alongside the maintenance team to prepare equipment for shutdowns, maintenance activities, and recommissioning.
- Complete all required training and maintain operational competence.
- Carry out jetty operations, including ship receipt and loading activities.
You will have:
- Experience working in Oil and Gas/Fuel environments is preferred
- Previous experience in a COMAH or regulated operational environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A proactive attitude towards health, safety, and continuous improvement
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A commitment to delivering high operational and customer service standards
