The Supply Register is working in partnership with a forward-thinking secondary school in Chesterfield to recruit a Full-Time Design & Technology Teacher.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate DT specialist who wants to inspire students through creativity, practical learning, and innovation across Key Stage 3 and 4.
The role includes: • Delivering engaging Design & Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable) • Developing students’ practical skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities • Assessing, tracking, and supporting student progress • Maintaining a safe and organised workshop environment • Supporting curriculum development and enrichment opportunities • Working collaboratively within a supportive DT department
We’re looking for candidates who: • Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification • Have experience teaching Design & Technology at secondary level • Have strong subject knowledge (e.g. Product Design, Engineering, Resistant Materials, or similar) • Are passionate about practical learning and student achievement • Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management • Work effectively as part of a team
