RELOcruitment
Are you someone who takes pride in their work, loves seeing a job well done, and wants more than just a driving role? This could be exactly what you're looking for.
We're recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing, design-led furniture rental and home staging business based in Mitcham, Surrey. With a start-up feel and a team that genuinely cares about quality and culture, this is a brilliant opportunity for someone who wants to be part of something exciting from the ground up.
The Role
This is primarily an installation role with a driving element — not the other way around. You'll be out on site delivering, assembling, and installing stylish furniture pieces for clients across London, ensuring every job is finished to the highest standard. Think white glove service — attention to detail, pride in your work, and a great attitude on every visit.
Around 80% of your day will be hands-on installation work, with the remaining 20% behind the wheel of an LGV.
Hours & Package
- Current hours: 9:00am – 5:00pm (40 hours per week)
- Early start transition: The business is moving to a 7:00am start within the next 2–3 months, so local candidates comfortable with this are preferred
- Overtime: 40–50 hours paid at time; 50+ hours paid at time and a third
- Salary: £28,000 rising to £30,000 on successful completion of probation (up to 6 months)
- Annual leave: 20 days plus 8 bank holidays, plus Christmas to New Year off as additional leave
What You'll Be Doing
- Delivering and collecting furniture to client properties across London
- Assembling and installing flatpack and modular furniture to a high standard
- Hanging prints, mirrors, and decorative pieces
- Representing the business with professionalism and a great attitude on every job
- Working efficiently on site, including on longer days when required
What We're Looking For
- Comfortable driving an LGV and holding a valid licence
- Experience assembling furniture — whether professionally or at home, we can build on it
- Confident with tools and happy with heavy lifting
- A positive, self-motivated attitude with a willingness to learn
- Great communication skills and a genuine pride in your work
- Local to Mitcham or surrounding areas and comfortable with an early start
- A team player who fits into a close-knit, start-up culture
