About the Role:
Prospero Teaching is excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated and passionate Secondary Geography Teacher to join a secondary school in the South Liverpool area. We are looking for a teacher who is reliable and enthusiastic with a dedication to inspire and motivate students.
Secondary Geography Teacher
Location: South Liverpool, L19
Start Date: September 2026
Contract Type: Temporary, long term
Working Hours: Full-time, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
Pay: Paid to scale
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and Deliver Lessons: Create engaging and comprehensive lessons that align with the curriculum and cater to various learning styles.
- Assessment: Design and administer assessments to evaluate student progress and understanding.
- Encourage Participation: Promote active engagement and participation among students.
- Resource Management: Select and utilise appropriate textbooks, resources, and materials.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and improve teaching strategies.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Proven experience teaching in a UK secondary school.
- Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable, but not essential as training can be provided).
- Right to Work in the UK.
- Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or willingness to apply for a new one.
- Provide at least two professional references covering at least 24 months/cover the last 2 years in full
