This is an ideal role for graduates considering teacher training in 2026 or beyond and looking to gain meaningful school-based experience before taking the next step.
Unlike many Teaching Assistant positions, this role offers genuine opportunities to develop your classroom practice, work alongside experienced teachers and gain exposure to all aspects of school life.
The Opportunity
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will become a valued member of the school community and play an active role in supporting teaching and learning across the primary phase.
You will:
Support pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
Work alongside experienced class teachers and senior leaders
Deliver small group interventions in English and Maths
Support pupils with varying learning needs
Help prepare engaging learning activities
Build confidence leading small groups and parts of lessons
Develop behaviour management and classroom leadership skills
Gain first-hand insight into the teaching profession
