This well-established engineering business has been operating for over 50 years and is a specialist manufacturer and provider of earthing, lightning protection, and surge protection products. The company also provides expert design services for earthing and lightning protection systems, supporting customers across power, infrastructure, construction and industrial environments.
Due to their ongoing growth, they are now looking to bring in a Graduate Earthing Design Engineer who can be trained and developed into a long-term member of the team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the beginning of their career to gain specialist training.
In this role, you will work closely with experienced engineers to support the design of earthing systems and lightning protection systems. You will be involved in technical design work, AutoCAD, site testing, and project support. The role is predominantly office based in Nottingham, with some flexibility required for occasional site visits and stays away.
The ideal candidate will be a recent Electrical Engineering graduate with a full UK driving licence and a strong desire to build a long-term career in a specialist technical engineering environment. Any exposure to AutoCAD would be advantageous, although full training will be provided.

The Role
- Graduate Electrical Design Engineer working on earthing systems, lightning protection systems and associated technical design projects
- Supporting soil resistivity testing, earthing design, lightning protection design, site testing and technical reports
- Using AutoCAD and specialist design software, with full training provided including CDEGS, power engineering courses, site qualifications and long-term progression
The Person
- Recent graduate in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to be office based in Nottingham with occasional site work
- Motivated to build a long-term career in technical design
