A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a motivated Graduate SEN TA to join a caring and inclusive primary school in Reading. This full-time, long-term position is available immediately and is perfectly suited to a graduate who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs while gaining valuable classroom experience.
The successful Graduate SEN TA will work alongside experienced teachers and SEN professionals, helping pupils develop the confidence, skills, and resilience needed to flourish both academically and socially.

The Opportunity
As a Graduate SEN TA, you will provide tailored support to pupils with a range of special educational needs, working both individually and with small groups. Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with additional needs.
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and accessible learning activities.
- Promote pupils' communication, social skills, and emotional wellbeing.
- Support the implementation of personalised learning strategies.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals.
- Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour throughout the school day.
About You
The ideal Graduate SEN TA will have:
- A degree in Psychology, Education, Sociology, or a related discipline.
- A genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, proactive, and adaptable approach.
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and families.
