Graduate Teaching Assistant – Maths Focus
Are you a recent Maths Graduate seeking hands- on experience as a Maths Teaching assistant, with the opportunity to progress onto salaried teacher training?
If so, this Maths Teaching Assistant position could be the perfect role for you.
This excellent secondary school in Hammersmith & Fulham are in the top 1 percent for their Maths results and are seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant – Maths Focus to join their team. This comes with the opportunity to train throughout the year as a Maths Teacher.
You will be supporting classes across KS3, KS4 and KS5 as well as running small intervention groups similar to tutoring and offering some 1:1 support with students.
This is a full time position, term time only, contracted until the end of this academic year. Candidates who are interested in becoming fully qualified teachers, there is the opportunity to return in September 2026 as a Trainee Maths Teacher receiving higher salary or a tax free bursary of £29,000 whilst you gain Qualified Teacher Status!

JOB DESCRIPTION
- Graduate Teaching Assistant- Maths Focus
- Teaching small groups maths interventions
- Receiving support and training throughout
- Working across Year 7 to Year 10 to begin with.
- Opportunity to complete salaried Teacher Training through the school.
- Immediate Start- Full Time & Contracted until the end of the academic year.
- Daily Rate of £105-£120 per day.
- Located in the Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Must have a 1 Class or 2:1 degree from the above subjects from a reputable University
- Good A Levels & GCSEs across the board
- Must be confident within your ability and knowledge of the KS3 & KS4 curriculum content
- You must be able to engage and motivate the students
- Commitment and ambition to succeed is key throughout!
