Graphics Technician (Pre-Press / Technical Designer) | Normanton
Permanent | Full-time | £15 per hour
Shift Pattern / Hours:
Alternating Weeks – Mon-Thurs 7am–3:30pm and 11am–7:30pm
Fridays 7am–3:30pm every week.
We are looking for a detail-driven Graphics Technician on behalf of a well-established and highly respected business within the signage industry.
With over 40 years of industry expertise, this business has built a reputation for delivering high-quality signage and fabrication solutions, and they are continuing to grow.
As a Graphics Technician, you'll play a key role in ensuring artwork is accurate, production-ready, and right first time.
You'll be working closely with production teams, ensuring projects run smoothly and deadlines are met without unnecessary rework.
We are seeking an experienced Graphics Technician with a signage background who is confident preparing artwork for large-format print and CNC production.
The successful candidate will need to have:
- Previous experience within the signage industry.
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator.
- Experience preparing artwork for large-format print production.
- Understanding of production artwork requirements, including bleed, scale and colour management.
- Experience interpreting technical drawings and production briefs.
- Experience preparing files for CNC cutting.
- Experience using 2D CAD software.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced production environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Preparing artwork for large-format printing and CNC cutting
- Ensuring files are set up correctly, including bleed, scale, and colour
- Converting and managing multiple file formats for production
- Interpreting briefs and technical drawings accurately
- Collaborating with production teams to minimise errors and delays
- Maintaining organised file structures and project documentation
- Supporting the wider team to deliver high-quality outputs on time
