Job Title: Grounds Maintenance Operative
Location: Eastbourne, Hailsham, East Sussex
Hours: Monday-Friday – 7:30am-5:00pm summer / 7:30am-4:00pm winter
Salary: £27K-£28K per annum

HRGO Recruitment are seeking a dedicated Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our clients team. This role is essential for ensuring that the public spaces are well-maintained, safe, and presented to a high standard for the community to enjoy.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in carrying out essential ground's maintenance work across our client's sites.
General Duties:
- Carry out grass cutting, strimming, and hedge trimming to maintain parks, open spaces, and recreational areas.
- Ensure general site tidiness to keep public spaces clean and welcoming.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including planting, weeding, and seasonal upkeep. Inspect and maintain tools and equipment to ensure they remain in safe working order.
- Collaborate with other teams on maintenance projects and general site upkeep.
Requirements:
- A full, valid driving licence is essential
- Ability to carry out physically demanding outdoor work in all weather conditions
- A responsible and safety-conscious approach to work
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
