GBR Recruitment Ltd are working exclusively with a leading Groundcare machinery business recruiting for an experienced Groundcare Technician / Groundcare Machinery Engineer to work across a multitude of different groundcare / landscaping & greenkeeping machinery inc. compact tractors, large scale rotary mower & ride-on mowers, slope & remote-controlled mowers, utility vehicles (UTVs/Gators), attachments & more.
Opportunity to earn an c.£40K – £45K p/a (approx. OTE with overtime)
This is a great opportunity to test your groundcare machinery engineering skills on a wide variety of machinery & vehicles, keeping your daily workloads varied & interesting.
As the Agricultural Technician you will work 50% of your time in the workshop & 50% of your time out in the field on customers sites across the South Yorkshire area.
Duties:
- Carry out groundcare vehicle & machinery maintenance for customers
- Diagnose groundcare machinery faults & carry out repairs both on site & in the workshop
- Complete all machinery servicing & machinery repairs to a high standard
- Assemble & prepare (PDI) all new & used machinery, ready for delivery
- Give technical & operating advice to customers
Attributes:
- Level 3 qualified in an engineering discipline (L2 also considered)
- Groundcare, greenkeeping, turfcare, agricultural, plant machinery or similar machinery experience is required for this role
- Prepared to work out in the field & in the workshop when needed
- Flexible with working hours & working patterns for peak seasons
- Strong communicator & used to working in a customer facing role
Sheffield, Barnsley, Rotherham, Doncaster, Barnsley, Wakefield, Leeds, Derby, York, Worksop, Retford, Gainsborough, Mansfield, Pontefract, Wakefield, Huddersfield & other area close to these locations.
