Reed Finance is currently supporting a Glasgow-based organisation in the search for an experienced Group Accountant to join their finance function on a 6-month temporary basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a highly visible role within a complex multi-entity group, where your expertise will play a key part in financial reporting and business insight.
The Opportunity
This role is ideally suited to a technically strong accountant with hands-on consolidation experience who can quickly add value in a fast-paced environment. You’ll be responsible for ensuring accurate group reporting while also identifying opportunities to enhance existing processes and improve efficiency.
Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you’ll help translate financial data into meaningful insight that supports strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of group consolidations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with reporting standards
- Support the preparation and delivery of group-level financial reporting and analysis
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline reporting and enhance controls
- Collaborate with finance and non-finance teams to improve data quality and reporting efficiency
- Provide insightful financial analysis to support business performance and decision-making
- Ensure adherence to relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements
About You
- Proven experience in financial consolidation within a group structure (essential)
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and present complex financial information
- Confident communicator, able to engage with stakeholders across different functions
- Experience driving process improvements and efficiencies within finance
- Proactive and solutions-focused, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
