Elevation Recruitment Group are partnered with one of the UK's leading engineering and manufacturing groups, supplying high-integrity castings and engineered components to customers operating in demanding sectors worldwide. The business are looking to recruit a Group Compliance Coordinator to work within the Health, Safety & Environmental team out of Leeds.
Reporting to the HSE Director, this newly created role will provide group-wide coordination and oversight of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management. Working closely with site-based HSE Managers, you will ensure consistency, maintain compliance and drive continual improvement across the business.
This is a key group position responsible for supporting and coordinating HSE compliance activities, acting as the focal point for management systems, training coordination and audit programmes, ensuring that robust systems are maintained and that best practice is shared across all locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and develop the Group's ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
- Coordinate external certification and surveillance audits across five UK manufacturing sites.
- Support and collaborate with site HSE Managers to ensure consistent standards and compliance.
- Manage the Group internal audit programme and monitor corrective actions to completion.
- Coordinate HSE training requirements and maintain competency records.
- Monitor legislative requirements and support implementation of changes across the business.
- Produce reports, KPI data and compliance metrics for senior management.
- Analyse incidents, trends and audit findings to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Promote the sharing of best practice and support continual improvement initiatives.
- Provide support to the HSE Director on Group projects and strategic initiatives.
I'm keen to speak to HSE & Compliance Professionals with the following skillset:
- A strong working knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
- Experience managing or coordinating HSE management systems across multiple sites.
- Internal or Lead Auditor qualifications.
- A good understanding of UK health, safety and environmental legislation.
- Strong organisational, analytical and communication skills.
- The ability to influence and build relationships across site teams.
- NEBOSH (or equivalent) and environmental qualifications would be advantageous.
