Elite Personnel is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly respected legal practice seeking an experienced Head of Commercial Property to lead and develop its Commercial Property department.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Commercial Property Lawyer looking to take the next step in their career, combining high-quality legal work with strategic leadership responsibilities.
The Role
As Head of Commercial Property, you will be responsible for leading a successful and growing team, ensuring the delivery of exceptional client service while contributing to the wider strategic direction of the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and developing the Commercial Property team
- Supervising workload allocation, performance, and quality standards
- Providing leadership, mentoring, and support to junior team members
- Contributing to business planning, growth strategies, and departmental objectives
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and professional contacts
- Supporting business development and marketing initiatives
- Monitoring departmental profitability, performance, and financial targets
- Ensuring compliance with professional and regulatory requirements
- Keeping abreast of developments in Commercial Property law and practice
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Qualified Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer status
- A minimum of 8 years’ Commercial Property experience
- Strong technical knowledge across a broad range of Commercial Property matters
- Experience in areas such as development work, landlord and tenant matters, site acquisitions and disposals, and general commercial property transactions
- Proven leadership and team management experience
- Excellent client relationship and business development skills
- Strong commercial awareness and a client-focused approach
- Experience of AML and property-related compliance requirements
- Outstanding communication, negotiation, and organisational skills
