Description
- Oversee the organisation's financial strategy, planning, and management processes.
- Prepare and present detailed financial reports to stakeholders and the leadership team.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, policies, and statutory requirements.
- Manage the budgeting process, including forecasting and monitoring financial performance.
- Lead and support the finance team to achieve operational excellence.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making.

- Oversee the preparation of annual accounts and liaise with external auditors.
Profile
A successful Head of Finance should have:
- A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
- MUST have experience within a charity that has a sub £10 million turnover
- Strong knowledge of financial planning, reporting, and compliance.
- Proven experience in financial leadership, ideally within the not-for-profit sector.
- The ability to interpret complex financial information and present it clearly to stakeholders.
- Excellent management and leadership skills to guide a finance team effectively.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and implementing financial improvements.
- Commitment to the values and goals of the not-for-profit industry.
