This is a Head of Finance job for a Private Equity backed product based business in Lancashire. You will be the right hand to an experienced Chief Financial Officer, and lead the management accounts process, the financial controls of the business, audit, tax and also be involved in the building blocks of the commercial nerve centre of this business – this is a properly rounded role.
You will support in a variety of capacities as this business continues to grow and scale, from ensuring 13 week cash flows are updated, the management accounts process is efficient and clear, and that the technical accounting of this business is flawless. This work will help define your ability to explore the commerciality of this business – looking at ROI in a variety of functions from marketing spend to product development.
You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with experience in a product based business, whether that's manufacturing, retail, logistics, FMCG, Ecommerce, ideally with multiple distribution channels. Beyond the accountancy qualification (which is essential, qualified by experience candidates will not be considered here) you will have a genuine curiosity and desire to get under the skin of this business. It is a relatively small, tight knit team and requires someone with a real desire to deliver results to the best of their ability, challenge preconceived ideas while being open to learn and develop as well. You will be able to be on site in Lancashire, immersed in this business four days a week and one from home.

Either you will progress in this business as part of its wider succession plan or you will be working directly for the CFO with direct contributions to the Private Equity investor and developing the skills required to be CFO in the future.
