Head of Income and Partnerships
Location: London (hybrid – minimum 1 day per week in office) Contract: Fixed-term to December 2027 | Part-time (3–4 days per week) Salary: £60,000 per annum (pro rata)
The Opportunity
A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced and strategic Head of Income and Partnerships to take ownership of income growth within a purpose-driven organisation. This is a pivotal and newly created role, ideal for a commercially minded professional who can both shape strategy and deliver hands-on results in a collaborative, evolving environment.
The Role
Reporting to the CEO, you will lead the development and delivery of a diversified income generation strategy, building sustainable revenue streams and high-value partnerships. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to identify opportunities, secure funding and strengthen long-term relationships.
Key responsibilities include:
• Developing and delivering an income generation strategy aligned to organisational priorities • Building and managing a pipeline across partnerships, trusts and foundations, and individual giving • Securing and stewarding high-value partnerships • Leading and contributing to bids, proposals and pitches • Collaborating with senior stakeholders to develop compelling cases for support • Identifying new income opportunities, including emerging or alternative revenue streams • Monitoring performance against income targets and KPIs • Developing systems and processes to enhance income generation capability • Ensuring compliance with fundraising regulations and best practice • Working closely with finance on forecasting, reporting and income tracking
About You
Essential: • Proven experience leading income generation strategy and delivery across multiple streams • Strong track record of securing and managing high-value partnerships • Experience leading successful bids, proposals and stakeholder engagement • Ability to operate strategically while remaining hands-on in delivery • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills • Good financial acumen, including budgeting and income forecasting • Understanding of governance, compliance and best practice in fundraising
Desirable: • Experience within a technical, evidence-based or specialist sector • Experience working with subject matter experts to develop funding propositions
