Head of Regeneration

We are seeking an exceptional leader to take on the role of Head of Regeneration, leading the Council’s regeneration programme and strategy. This role involves working in partnership across the region to transform our places and drive long-term inclusive economic growth for our communities.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Lead and manage the Council’s high-performing Regeneration Service.
- Deliver complex regeneration programmes and capital projects.
- Develop and implement regeneration strategies and investment plans.
- Provide expert advice to senior leaders and elected members.
- Build strong partnerships across public and private sectors.
- Manage budgets and ensure value for money.
- Drive innovation and service improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Significant senior leadership experience in regeneration or economic development.
- Proven track record of delivering large-scale regeneration programmes.
- Strong understanding of local government and political context.
- Experience in strategic planning and service transformation.
- Strong financial and budget management skills.
- Excellent partnership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Relevant qualification or equivalent experience.
