Head of Regeneration – Rotherham
£600 per day Umbrella
Occasional office attendance required
3-6 month contract initially
The Role
Reporting to the Service Director for Planning, Regeneration & Transport, you will:
- Provide strategic leadership and management of the Council's high-performing Regeneration Service.
- Lead the delivery of complex regeneration programmes and major capital projects.
- Develop and implement regeneration strategies, investment plans, and place-based initiatives.
- Provide expert strategic advice to senior leadership, elected Members, and key stakeholders.
- Build and maintain effective partnerships across the public, private, and voluntary sectors.
- Oversee service budgets, ensuring sound financial management and value for money.
- Drive continuous service improvement, innovation, and the successful delivery of corporate priorities.
About You
To be successful, you will demonstrate:
- Significant senior leadership experience within regeneration, economic development, or a closely related field.
- A proven track record of delivering large-scale regeneration programmes and place-shaping initiatives.
- A strong understanding of local government, governance, and the political environment.
- Experience of developing strategy, leading organisational change, and driving service transformation.
- Strong financial management skills, including budget oversight and resource planning.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, partnership-building, negotiation, and communication skills.
- A relevant professional qualification or substantial equivalent experience.
