We’re working with a growing regional law firm in the North West that is looking to appoint a Head of Risk & Compliance to take ownership of the firm’s risk function.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced legal risk and compliance professional to step into a newly created position and shape the future of compliance within the business.
Currently, compliance responsibilities sit with the Managing Partner, who holds the COLP, COFA and MLRO roles. This hire will become the firm’s first dedicated compliance lead, providing strategic oversight and strengthening the firm’s approach to risk management.
The Role?
Taking ownership of the day-to-day risk and compliance function
Supporting the COLP, COFA and MLRO responsibilities
Overseeing AML, client due diligence and regulatory compliance
Reviewing and enhancing policies, procedures and controls
Advising partners and fee earners on SRA requirements
Developing a proactive compliance culture across the firm
About you?
Previous experience within legal risk & compliance
Ideally a qualified Solicitor or Legal Exec
Strong knowledge of the SRA regulatory framework
Experience across AML, compliance monitoring and risk management
The confidence to operate autonomously and influence senior stakeholders
