Head of Sales
SF Partners are working exclusively with our client, a well-established and growing business based in Swadlincote, to recruit an experienced Head of Sales.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially driven sales leader to shape and deliver the company's sales strategy while leading a high-performing team. Reporting directly to the Sales Director, you will take ownership of the overall sales function, driving revenue growth, developing future leaders, and ensuring the business continues to exceed its commercial objectives.
The Role
As Head of Sales, you will be responsible for translating business objectives into effective sales strategies, leading multiple sales functions, and ensuring operational excellence across the department. You'll work closely with senior leadership and other key business areas to identify opportunities, improve performance, and deliver sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
- Lead, mentor and develop the Sales Manager and wider sales leadership team.
- Set departmental KPIs and drive a culture of accountability and high performance.
- Oversee the performance of inbound, outbound and sales support functions.
- Monitor sales forecasts, budgets and commercial performance, providing regular reporting to senior leadership.
- Identify market opportunities, analyse competitor activity and recommend strategic initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure a seamless customer journey and maximise business performance.
- Act as the senior sales leader during periods of management absence, ensuring business continuity and effective decision-making.
About You
We're looking for an experienced sales leader who can demonstrate:
- A proven track record of delivering consistent sales growth and leading successful sales teams.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify opportunities and overcome business challenges.
- Exceptional leadership and coaching skills with experience developing managers and future leaders.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret sales data and make commercially sound decisions.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Experience using CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
