As a Health and Safety Specialist, you will work closely with operational and leadership teams to influence positive change, champion best practice, and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards. You will be part of a collaborative team, contributing to a culture where everyone feels responsible for safety and wellbeing.
The Opportunity:
As a Health and Safety Specialist you’ll play a key role in:
- Providing visible, hands-on health and safety guidance across operational areas, supporting teams to work safely and confidently
- Driving a positive safety culture through coaching, mentoring, and consistent engagement with colleagues at all levels
- Leading and supporting safety improvement initiatives to reduce risk, incidents, and operational loss
- Monitoring safety performance, analysing trends, and implementing practical improvements
- Supporting audits, investigations, and regulatory interactions, ensuring high standards and timely actions
Your work will directly contribute to creating a safer, more resilient working environment where people and performance thrive together.
About You:
We’re looking for someone who can bring:
- Proven experience in a health and safety role within manufacturing, engineering, or a similar environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and build relationships across diverse teams
- A NEBOSH General Certificate as a minimum, ideally working towards or already achieved Diploma level
- Confidence in analysing data, leading investigations, and driving continuous improvement
- A proactive, approachable mindset with a genuine passion for keeping people safe
