HGV Class 2 Driver – Burton upon Trent
People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver – Burton upon Trent to join our well-established client based in Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire.
This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay, a guaranteed minimum of 8 hours' pay per shift, and genuine opportunities to secure a permanent position.
This role would suit candidates with experience as an HGV Class 2 Driver, LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver, or Truck Driver.
Please note:
• A minimum of 12 months' Class 2 driving experience is required • A driving assessment must be successfully completed prior to starting
Shifts
• Monday to Friday • Start times between 01:30 – 04:30
Rates of Pay
• £16.25 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties
As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include:
• Completing two to five drops per day • Delivering roller cages and totes • Operating a tail lift • Assisting with handballing when required • Driving Category C vehicles safely and efficiently • Ensuring all loads are safe and secure • Completing any necessary paperwork
Essential Skills
To be successful as an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need:
• To be comfortable with early starts • A minimum of 12 months' previous Class 2 driving experience • A valid UK Category C Driving Licence • A valid CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card • No more than six penalty points for minor infringements • No major endorsement codes
Training Provided
• Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
