High Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – 1:1 Support | Year 3 Pupil

Teaching Personnel is seeking an experienced and dedicated High Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to provide 1:1 support for a Year 3 pupil.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with a bright, high-functioning child with an EHCP, supporting their academic development and helping them access the curriculum successfully.
About the Role
- Providing dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 3 pupil
- Supporting learning across the primary curriculum as required
- Delivering targeted reading and phonics interventions
- Adapting support to meet the pupil's individual needs and learning style
- Working proactively to encourage independence and confidence
- Understanding when to provide support and when to step back to promote self-directed learning
- Supporting the implementation of EHCP targets
- Liaising effectively with parents and educational professionals where appropriate
- Contributing to a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment
Essential Requirements
Previous experience working within KS1 and KS2 settings
Strong experience delivering phonics interventions
Knowledge and practical experience of recognised phonics schemes, including:
- Little Wandle
- Read Write Inc.
Excellent literacy support skills, particularly in reading development
Experience supporting pupils with EHCPs
Ability to work independently and use initiative
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

- Has excellent observational skills and can identify when support is needed
