Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – All-Through SEND School
Location: Lewisham
Pay:£120–£150 per day (depending on experience)
Hours: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:30am–3:30pm
Start Date: ASAP
Dress Code: Casual / Dress Down
Complete Classroom Services are seeking an experienced and confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a supportive all-through SEND school in Lewisham.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled HLTA who is passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs and is confident working across a range of age groups and abilities.
About the Role:
- Delivering targeted interventions and supporting pupil progress
- Assisting with the implementation and review of EHCP targets
- Supporting students with a range of SEND needs across the school
- Managing and supporting multiple pupils within classroom and intervention settings
- Recording and reporting incidents, observations and progress using CPOMS
- Adapting support strategies to meet individual pupil needs and emotional regulation requirements
- Working closely with teachers, therapists and the wider SEND team
We're Looking For Someone Who:
- Holds a HLTA qualification or has at least 4 years' experience working as an HLTA
- Has a strong understanding of EHCPs, report writing and SEND support strategies
- Has experience delivering interventions and using Team Teach strategies
- Is confident supporting and managing more than one child at a time
- Has good basic IT skills and experience using systems such as CPOMS
- Is adaptable, proactive and able to respond effectively to changing pupil needs and moods
- Holds a DBS on the Update Service
