North West London | £125 – £140 per day | Full-Time | September 2026 Start
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant ready for the next step?
Are you a graduate considering teacher training and looking to gain invaluable classroom experience before stepping into the profession?
SANZA Teaching Agency is delighted to be supporting a welcoming and ambitious primary school in North West London in the recruitment of a talented Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for September 2025.
This is far more than a traditional support role. The successful candidate will become an integral member of the school team, delivering lessons, leading interventions and gaining the kind of hands-on classroom experience that many aspiring teachers spend years trying to secure.
The school is known for investing heavily in its staff and has a strong track record of supporting support staff and graduates into teacher training programmes and long-term educational careers.
The Role
As a HLTA, you will enjoy a varied and rewarding position, including:
Delivering pre-planned lessons across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
Covering classes during teacher PPA time and staff absence
Leading targeted intervention groups in English and Maths
Supporting pupils of varying abilities to achieve their full potential
Working closely with class teachers to support learning and pupil progress
Helping to maintain a positive, engaging and purposeful learning environment
Building strong relationships with pupils, families and colleagues
Contributing to the wider life of a vibrant school community
This role offers genuine classroom responsibility and is ideal for someone who enjoys taking initiative and making a real impact.
Why This Opportunity Stands Out
Many schools talk about progression. This school actively creates it.
Staff are encouraged to develop professionally, take on responsibility and explore long-term career pathways within education.
Whether your ambition is to become a qualified teacher, develop your leadership skills or simply work within a school that values professional growth, this is an environment where you can genuinely thrive.
You'll be joining a team that combines high expectations with exceptional support, creating a positive atmosphere for both pupils and staff.
