A highly regarded 3-form entry Primary School in Haringey is seeking an ambitious and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026.
This Higher Level Teaching Assistant opportunity is ideal for an aspiring teacher, ECT, experienced TA, or existing Higher Level Teaching Assistant looking to gain valuable teaching experience before moving into a full class teaching role. The school has an excellent reputation for developing talent and has successfully appointed several candidates from Reeson Education into permanent teaching positions.
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupil achievement across KS2. The Higher Level Teaching Assistant will lead Maths interventions, work with small groups to raise attainment, and occasionally take responsibility for a Year 5 class during parts of the school day when the class teacher is absent. All planning and resources will be provided, allowing the Higher Level Teaching Assistant to focus on lesson delivery and pupil engagement.
The successful Higher Level Teaching Assistant will work alongside experienced teachers and senior leaders who are committed to supporting the development of the Higher Level Teaching Assistant throughout the academic year.
Higher Level Teaching Assistant Responsibilities
- Delivering targeted Maths interventions as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant
- Supporting pupils through focused group work as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant
- Occasionally leading a Year 5 class using pre-planned lessons as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant
- Working collaboratively with teaching staff as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant
- Monitoring pupil progress and supporting attainment as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant
- Helping to create a positive learning environment as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant
