Job Description Hays Education are working with a mainstream school based in Allerton who are seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join them on a full-time basis. The role will involve: * Deliver high-quality learning activities to individuals, groups, and whole classes in the absence of the teacher * Provide targeted support to pupils, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) * Support pupils to access the curriculum and participate fully in classroom activities * Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to implement targets from EHCPs, IEPs, and support plans * Plan, prepare, and adapt learning activities and resources to meet individual needs * Assess, record, and report on pupils' progress and attainment * Support communication, language development, and social interaction * Promote emotional wellbeing, self-regulation, and positive behaviour strategies * Encourage independence, confidence, and engagement in learning Previous Experience Required * HLTA qualification or equivalent relevant experience * Previous experience leading learning activities within a classroom environment * Experience working with children with SEN in mainstream or specialist settings What Hays Education Offers * Competitive rates of pay * Ongoing support from a dedicated Hays consultant * Access to free training and resources * Opportunities for short-term, long-term, and permanent roles * £250 refer-a-friend scheme (terms and conditions apply)
