Academics are currently recruiting for an experienced and confident HLTA to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Gloucester.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated HLTA who enjoys variety or is looking to secure a long-term placement within a supportive school environment.

As an HLTA, you will provide PPA cover across a couple of year groups, support learning across the curriculum, and work closely with teaching staff to ensure pupils remain engaged and make strong progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of year groups
  • Provide PPA cover when required
  • Support small groups and individual pupils to achieve their potential
  • Promote positive behaviour and effective classroom management
  • Assist with monitoring and tracking pupil progress
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to maintain high standards

Requirements:

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience covering whole classes
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
