Academics are currently recruiting for an experienced and confident HLTA to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Gloucester.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated HLTA who enjoys variety or is looking to secure a long-term placement within a supportive school environment.
As an HLTA, you will provide PPA cover across a couple of year groups, support learning across the curriculum, and work closely with teaching staff to ensure pupils remain engaged and make strong progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of year groups
- Provide PPA cover when required
- Support small groups and individual pupils to achieve their potential
- Promote positive behaviour and effective classroom management
- Assist with monitoring and tracking pupil progress
- Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to maintain high standards
Requirements:
- HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
- Previous experience covering whole classes
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
