HR Business Partner (12-month FTC) London (4 days in office) c.£75 – £80k
I'm working with a growing, highly regarded financial services organisation to appoint an experienced HR Business Partner on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a hands-on, true business partnering role supporting a large, high-performing part of the organisation, with exposure to senior leadership across Finance, Risk, Compliance, Credit, Operations and Technology.
The opportunity This is a critical hire to cover a maternity leave, requiring someone who can drive impact from day one. You will operate as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders, balancing day-to-day delivery with supporting a broader transformation and change agenda, including organisation design and embedding new ways of working.
What you'll be doing Partnering senior leaders across key infrastructure functions and acting as the link between HR and the business across the full employee lifecycle. Managing employee relations activity, coaching and developing managers to confidently handle people matters. Delivering across core HR areas including performance, engagement, wellbeing, DE&I and talent management. Supporting organisation design and change initiatives, particularly around embedding transformation programmes and evolving team structures. Leading hiring and assessment activity, ensuring high-quality, culturally aligned talent is brought into the organisation. Driving continuous improvement and helping the business navigate change in a pragmatic, commercially focused way.

What we're looking for Proven experience as an HR Business Partner in a complex environment. Strong employee relations capability, including restructuring activity. Experience within financial services or a regulated environment preferred. Confident operating at senior stakeholder level with credibility and commerciality. Hands-on, pragmatic and comfortable balancing strategy with delivery. Able to navigate change, influence leaders and handle challenging conversations.
