Loom Talent are currently working exclusively with a West Midlands manufacturing organisation who are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to join them on a 12-month fixed term contract, covering a maternity leave.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly, busy and proactive HR team who are navigating an exciting period of change.
Partnering with leaders across the business, you will play a key role in delivering the day-to-day support to the business of c350 employees. This is a busy role – the organisation is looking to modernise the way they do things and are looking for someone with a commercial and pragmatic approach to what they do focussing on efficiency and high performance.
Working as part of an established HR team, your responsibilities will include:
- Acting as a trusted advisor to managers and senior leaders, providing pragmatic and commercially focused HR guidance and support.
- Partnering with key stakeholders to deliver people plans and various HR projects that align with wider business objectives.
- Oversee all recruitment, payroll and employee relations
- Projects focussing on management coaching to build capability across areas including performance management, employee engagement and talent development.
- Line management to three – Recruitment Specialist, ER Specialist and HR apprentice
- Management of ER cases, being the escalation point for more complex cases where required.
Given the nature of the industry, experience of supporting operational or manufacturing environments, would be advantageous.
For this role, we are looking for an experienced HR professional who has operated at HR Business Partner level, is confident influencing and challenging stakeholders, and is able to balance strategic priorities alongside the operational day to day.
You will be comfortable working onsite 2-3 days per week in West Birmingham and able to commit to a 12-month fixed term contract (and extra bonus points if you're a whizz on excel!)
Ideally you will have experience working in an SME environment in a similar industry (manufacturing, logistics, distribution etc) with a commercial way of approaching standard HR processes.
