Part-Time HR Manager

  • Location: Kent
  • Hours: 20–25 hours per week (flexible working pattern available)
  • Salary: £35,000-£38,000pa 

Reed HR have partnered with a company who are seeking a proactive and organised Part-Time HR Manager to manage day-to-day HR administration and support our business. This role offers flexible working hours, designed to fit around the successful candidate's schedule, whether that means shorter days spread across five days or fewer full working days.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Maintain employee personnel files and update HR systems with essential employee information.
  • Record contract changes, promotions, and salary updates.
  • Liaise with department managers regarding recruitment needs, post job adverts, speak with agencies, and arrange interviews for suitable candidates.
  • Prepare offer letters and employee contracts.
  • Organise new starter onboarding processes including induction, paperwork, and training schedules.
  • Ensure company policies are up to date and compliant with current laws.
  • Keep records for disciplinary and grievance procedures.
  • Support managers with documentation for HR cases and act as the first point of contact for basic HR queries such as holiday entitlement and policies.
  • Produce reports on headcount and staff turnover.
  • Update the employee handbook when policies change.
  • Support staff appraisals and performance reviews.
  • Maintain return-to-work records and manage absence/leave.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a generalist HR role.
  • CIPD qualification is ideal but not essential.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Good understanding of HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficient in HR systems and Microsoft Office applications.
