Reporting to: Head of HR – Europe & Africa
Are you an experienced HR professional who thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments? Do you have a genuine passion for Employee Relations and enjoy supporting organisations through periods of change and transformation?
We are seeking an HR Manager to join a newly created business formed following the merger of two established organisations. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the people agenda during an exciting period of integration and growth.
Working as the dedicated HR lead for the UK business, you will support an employee population of approximately 72 employees, whilst being part of a wider international HR team supporting a global workforce of around 800 employees. Reporting directly to the Head of HR for Europe & Africa, you will have significant autonomy and the opportunity to make a real impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the trusted HR partner for managers and employees across the UK business.
- Lead and manage complex Employee Relations matters, providing pragmatic and commercially focused advice.
- Support organisational change, transformation, and integration activities arising from the recent merger.
- Partner with international stakeholders across the wider business.
- Ensure HR policies, procedures, and practices remain compliant and aligned with business objectives.
- Provide coaching and guidance to managers on all aspects of people management.
About You
We are looking for a resilient and proactive HR professional who enjoys operating independently and is comfortable working with minimal day-to-day support.
You will ideally have:
- A strong generalist HR background with significant Employee Relations expertise.
- Experience supporting organisations through change, transformation, restructuring, or integration projects.
- The confidence to operate as a standalone HR lead while collaborating effectively within a wider HR function.
- Experience working within an international or global business environment.
- Exposure to Japanese-owned, Asian, or culturally diverse organisations would be advantageous.
- CIPD qualification (or equivalent experience) is desirable but not essential.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across all levels of the business.
