This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic business in a hands-on, generalist role where you will play a key part in shaping and strengthening the people function.
Full time, permanent on-site position (Monday to Friday)
The Role
Reporting into the Head of HR, you will act as the operational lead for HR and support the delivery of people-focused initiatives across the organisation.
Working within a small HR team, you will support a workforce of 200+ employees in a varied role with a strong emphasis on recruitment and employee relations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and supporting a small HR team, overseeing day-to-day HR operations
- Managing end-to-end recruitment for a range of roles, partnering with hiring managers
- Providing expert advice on employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance cases
- Supporting workforce planning and coordination of temporary or casual staff
- Overseeing the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding through to offboarding
- Advising managers on HR best practice and UK employment law
- Supporting the development of HR policies, processes and engagement initiatives
- Acting as deputy to the Head of HR when required
About You
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Have proven experience in a generalist HR role, ideally within a fast-paced environment
- Hold a CIPD qualification (or be qualified by experience)
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Be a confident communicator with the ability to influence and build relationships
- Take a proactive, hands-on and commercially aware approach
- Have experience with HR systems and reporting
