Reed HR are delighted to be recruiting for an ambitious and proactive HR Officer to join a busy, fast-paced operational business and support the delivery of a visible, people-focused HR service across a large workforce.

We are keen to hear from candidates who thrive in fast-moving environments such as retail, warehousing, logistics, distribution, manufacturing or other high-volume operational settings.
You’ll be someone who is self-motivated, hands-on and eager to develop your HR career within a business where visibility, initiative and relationship-building are highly valued.
The successful candidate will support a broad range of generalist HR activities including employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, absence management, engagement initiatives and HR administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day HR advice and guidance to managers and employees across the site
- Support and manage employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance processes
- Coordinate end-to-end recruitment activities, including advertising, screening, interviews and onboarding
- Maintain accurate HR records, reporting and management information
- Support training, engagement and wellbeing initiatives across the business
- Be a visible and approachable member of the HR team, working closely with the wider operation
About You
- Previous experience within a generalist HR position
- Confident communicator with strong relationship-building skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, operational environment where priorities can change quickly
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Self-motivated, proactive and driven, with a genuine desire to develop and progress within HR
- Someone who enjoys being visible within the business and partnering closely with managers and teams
- Experience within retail, warehousing, logistics, distribution, manufacturing or other high-volume operational environments would be highly advantageous
- CIPD qualified or currently studying towards CIPD would be beneficial
