Reed HR are recruiting for an experienced HR Officer to join a busy operational environment and support the delivery of a proactive, people-focused HR service across a large workforce.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident HR professional who enjoys working closely with managers, building strong relationships across the business, and operating in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
The successful candidate will support a broad range of generalist HR activities including employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, absence management, engagement initiatives and HR administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day HR advice and guidance to managers and employees
- Support the management of employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, performance and absence processes
- Coordinate end-to-end recruitment activities, including advertising, screening and onboarding
- Maintain accurate HR reporting and management information
- Support training, engagement and wellbeing initiatives across the site
- Assist with audits, compliance activities and HR administration
- Build strong working relationships with operational managers and stakeholders across the business
About You
- Previous experience in a generalist HR role
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Confidence supporting managers in a fast-paced operational environment
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- A proactive, hands-on approach and the confidence to work independently
- Experience within operational, logistics, distribution, manufacturing, warehousing, retail or other high-volume environments would be beneficial, but is not essential
- CIPD qualification (or currently working towards)
- Additional language skills would be advantageous
