Are you an outstanding Humanities specialist with leadership experience looking for a flexible and rewarding opportunity?
We are seeking a talented and inspiring Humanities Lead to work on a supply basis across secondary schools in the Leicester area from August 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Head of Humanities, Curriculum Leader, or ambitious Humanities teacher with leadership experience who is passionate about driving high standards in History, Geography, Religious Studies, or Social Sciences.
The Role
As a Humanities Lead, you will:
- Provide leadership and guidance within Humanities departments
- Support curriculum planning and delivery across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Drive student achievement and engagement in Humanities subjects
- Mentor and support teaching staff where required
- Maintain high expectations for teaching, learning, and behaviour
- Adapt quickly to different school environments while making an immediate impact
We Are Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Proven experience teaching Humanities subjects at secondary level
- Previous middle or senior leadership experience within a Humanities department
- Strong curriculum knowledge and a commitment to educational excellence
- Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills
- The ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and school leaders
