Teaching Personnel
Teaching Personnel is partnering with a well-regarded secondary school in Portsmouth that is recognised for its supportive leadership and strong community ethos. The school is seeking to appoint a committed Humanities or Religious Education Teacher to join their team from September 2026. This role is suitable for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers, offering an excellent opportunity to grow within a positive and collaborative environment.
You will be joining a dedicated Humanities department, teaching Religious Education alongside subjects such as History and/or Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4. The role involves delivering engaging and stimulating lessons that encourage critical thinking and help students develop a broader understanding of the world. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to extracurricular activities and play an active part in the wider school community. This is a full-time, long-term position with the potential to become permanent.
The successful candidate will hold a recognised teaching qualification or be working towards one as an Early Career Teacher. You should be confident teaching Religious Education as well as at least one Humanities subject, with a genuine enthusiasm for inspiring students and sparking curiosity about global topics. The school is looking for someone who is proactive, collaborative, and committed to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position.
