Prospero Teaching is working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in the Bridgwater area to recruit an engaging and knowledgeable Humanities Teacher, with a specialism in History.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and high-performing department on a long-term maternity cover, delivering inspiring lessons that bring history to life.
The Role
You will primarily teach History across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to contribute to the wider Humanities curriculum.
The role will involve:
- Delivering high-quality, engaging History lessons
- Encouraging curiosity, critical thinking, and discussion
- Helping students draw connections between the past and modern society
- Supporting students in developing strong analytical and evaluative skills
- Contributing to a collaborative and successful Humanities department
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching History at KS3 and KS4
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- A creative, engaging, and resilient teaching style
- A team-oriented mindset and willingness to contribute
- A passion for Humanities and student development
- A firm belief that every student can succeed
