SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School

- Salary: £95 per day
- Contract: Full-time, Term-time only
Join a warm and inclusive primary school in Plymouth as an SEN Teaching Assistant. This role is ideal for someone who is compassionate and dedicated to supporting pupils with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, and speech & language difficulties.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils, focusing on individual learning and development needs.
- Help implement Educational Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets effectively.
- Support pupils with emotional regulation and social skills, fostering a supportive and understanding environment.
- Work closely with the class teacher and Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) to ensure consistent support and progress in pupils' educational journeys.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience working with children with SEN, whether in a school or care setting.
- A patient, adaptable, and nurturing approach to dealing with children.
- Good communication skills, capable of working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals.
